Our staff will assist you to create a more predictable budget, minimize emergencies, and lower your overall vehicle cost of ownership. Never feel sold at Carz R Us, where automotive repair is our profession, but taking care of people is our passion.
Matt
Owner / Shop Therapist
Matt Aukes has more than 17 years’ experience in business management and ownership and is committed to continued education and training. He provides staff with the industry’s best resources and training procedures. A former high school band director, Matt is passionate about music and enjoys attending and supporting live music. Matt also enjoys working out and home projects. This educational background brings a fresh approach to how Carz R Us services their clients. Matt also loves playing sports and working with his two sons, Myles and Mitchell, on music and sports they play. Matt is also very active with local non-profits, including Mosaic and the Rockford Cosmopolitan Club, serving in leadership roles with both organizations.
Eric
Ring Leader
Eric comes to Carz R Us with 30 plus years of automotive experience. He brings over 20 years’ experience as a Service Manager for Toyota, Honda, Hyundai & Kia as well as 10 years with independent shops. In his free time, he and his wife, who is also an automotive service advisor at Carz R Us, enjoy weekend drives in their matching C6 Corvettes. Eric enjoys working at Carz R Us because he can really get to know his customer’s and help them navigate the not so fun, but necessary world of automotive repairs.
Kristina
Office Queen
Kristina comes to Carz R’ Us with more than 16 years of office management and accounting experience. She enjoys volunteering her time at FWC and spending time with her six children. Her drive to help the company succeed is a welcome addition to the team. Kristina enjoys working at Carz R’ Us because she works with an amazing team.
Brad
Fairway Maintenance Guy
Brad grew up working on vehicles and tractors with his Grandpa. He took a few auto body classes after high school and then worked at a lube shop for 12 years. He got married last year to his girlfriend of 11 years. He enjoys golfing and cheering on the Chicago Bears in his free time.
CJ
Automotive Tech / Shop Low Rider
CJ comes to Carz R’ Us with over 16 years of automotive experience. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, going fishing and spending time with his children. CJ enjoys working at Carz R’ Us because of the laid-back environment and the opportunity to expand his automotive knowledge.
Teresa
Service Advisor / Pet Advisor
Teresa comes to Carz R Us with 15 years of experience with the automotive industry. She married her high school sweetheart, Eric, our other service advisor. In Teresa’s spare time she loves going on long car rides with Eric in their Corvettes. Teresa enjoys working at Carz R Us because she loves cars and helping people.
Sergio
Spitfire Technician
Sergio comes to Carz R Us with 6 years of experience in the automotive industry. His specialty is with Nissan, Mazda, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Sergio is fluent in both Spanish and English.
In his spare time he enjoys working on cars. Sergio enjoys working at Carz R Us because he gets to use his outgoing personality with customers and enjoys learning new skills in the automotive industry.
Ron
Automotive Technician
Ron brings over 18 years of automotive experience to Carz R Us. In his free time, he loves riding his motorcycle and practicing Tae Kwon Do. Ron appreciates the family-like atmosphere at Carz R Us, where teamwork is key, and everyone lends a helping hand.
