Carz R Us

Using your five senses while driving your vehicle is essential to being safe. It also helps keep your costs down if you bring your vehicle in whenever your senses discover an issue. An example of using your five senses is listening for noises.

Some noises happen over time and gradually get louder. Others suddenly occur and can be very scary. Our sample vehicle for this example is a 2018 Honda Odyssey. One of our staff, Kristina, started to hear a rattling sound like the vehicle was vibrating. The next day she hit a bump and the rear of the vehicle jolted to the side. Kristina felt very unsafe and immediately had Carz R Us inspect the vehicle.

Upon inspection, we found that the rear shocks had separated. This was allowing the rear wheels to move about six inches when the vehicle hit a bump. This issue is unsafe. It is a good thing Kristina had the vehicle inspected immediately.

What components can make noise on your vehicle? Really, any part can, but here are some common parts that make noise:

Control arm bushings

Not all noises are unsafe. Not all unsafe noises are super loud or obvious that they are unsafe. When you start to hear a noise that was not noticed before it is best to have the vehicle inspected.
